MORNING MANNA 11-13-24
“Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”1 Peter 2:11-12
Dear friends, I intended to read this song during my message, “War No More”, last Sunday morning. I hope this serves to remind you that the best is yet to come!
TEMPORARY HOME
Sometimes I feel like I’m just walkin’ around
With my head with up in the clouds
I’m steady movin’ but I’m not gainin’ ground
Headin’ the wrong way in a crowd
Then I remember I’m not part of this world
I’m movin’ higher each day
Upward mobility sounds mighty good to me
And I just can’t wait to get way, yeah
I got to remember I’m not here to stay
I’m looking forward to a brighter day
I got to remember I’m not here for long
I’m just livin’ in my temporary home
When you are bothered by the problems of life
Don’t you let ’em get you down
Just look to Jesus, you will not be denied
He’ll move you up to higher ground
Don’t you forget, you’re a child of the King
That you’re an heir to His throne
You may not know just when
He’s coming back again
To take us to our happy home, y’all
