“Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever”.- Psa. 145:2
What are your plans for today? Just about everyone has a daily routine of things they do everyday. But there are also occasional duties and emergencies that take our time. So if I ask you “What will you do?” you have a good idea as to what is on your list. The sad thing is that most people leave the most important thing off their list. That’s why our text is so important. It tells us what ought to be on our calendar every day of the year. Here is a man who had his priorities right. He said, “Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever”.
Regardless of what else you do, or what others do, this should be your daily duty. If this isn’t on your to do list you are missing the mark. We should consider no day complete without this. Since God is good all the time, blessing us daily, we ought to bless Him every day. It is unreasonable to think that those who reap of His blessings should not return them. Here we see the writer’s aim to express his affection, admiration, adoration, and appreciation. In light of His greatness, how could he or we do any less? “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.”- vs.3
