Lakeway Baptist Church has several ministries that help to support our church, support our membership, and support our community. If you’re interested in serving in any of these, please reach out to the ministry leader and let them know you’re interested!
Master Clubs
Master Clubs is an interactive way for children from age 3-13 to grow in their walk with God. Master Clubs provides sound, age-appropriate, biblical learning in a fast paced, fun environment. Our goal, as a church, is for children to learn about the Lord through scripture memorization, Biblical activities, and an opportunity for the children to play a game or make a craft. This program encourages children to study their Bibles and to be a bold witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. Lakeway’s Master Clubs program meets Wednesday Evenings beginning at 7: 00 PM, September through May.

Music Ministry
“The purpose of the Music Ministry at Lakeway is first and foremost to prepare the hearts of those in the worship service to hear and receive the word of God. On several occasions the Bible tells us to sing unto Him a new song. Our desire is worship with a variety of songs in the hopes that you can leave with a song in your heart that will remain until we meet again and can be replaced by a new one.”
The Music Ministry exists to edify and encourage the body of Christ within this church (1Cor 12:28). Our goal is to praise and worship God, not just in services but with our lives so that ‘the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart’ are acceptable to the Lord (Ps 19:14). Within a service, the goal is to bring the congregation into the presence of God (2Ch 7:1,2; 1Pet 2:5) and set the stage for the preaching of the Word of God with the ultimate goal of changing lives into the image of Christ (Rom 12:1,2; 2Cor 3:18). Music is a tool for achieving this purpose.
The Music Ministry is made up of committed church members of all ages. Music ministry is not the right of the talented, but the privilege of the committed and faithful. Our Music Ministry does not use hired musicians, signers, or production staff, but relies upon church members with a strong commitment to Christ, and His Church. The Music Ministry is as much about the heart as it is the art. Every member, musicians and singers alike, have a love not for performance, but for praise and adoration of the Lord.
God has blessed our Music Ministry and Church with a very talented choir of all ages, talented musicians ranges from the piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, stringed instruments, percussion, and even an accordion.

Wee Worship
The Wee Worship ministry of Lakeway Baptist Church strives to train up children in the way they should go at the earliest possible age. This ministry provides sound bible lessons for preschool children ages three through five years old. Children learn biblical truths through stories, active play, and worship songs. We believe the preschool years are a time today the foundations for understanding and prepare children for the Holy Spirit to impress upon them their need for personal salvation from sin. Our workers provide a caring safe environment to guide children through the learning process, while showing them the love of God.

Children’s Church
Children’s Church is a great time of singing praises unto the Lord, memorizing scriptures, learning of missionaries and hearing bible stories. Our purpose is presenting the gospel clearly and bringing kids to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Our workers count it a privilege to help bring children up in ” the nature and admonition of the Lord”.

Mission Statement: A team that will work together to prepare skits to minister to a diverse group for outreach and edification of the Body of Christ.

Rope Holders
Rope-holders is a ministry to the missionaries supported by Lakeway. Members are given the opportunity to “Adopt a Missionary” so as to minister to him and his family. Here’s how it works:
In some instances participants commit to giving a designated amount of money, above their tithe, to assist the missionary. Participants are expected to contact their missionary on a regular basis and to send birthday ,anniversary, etc. cards. Participants are required to read correspondence and reports from their missionary and to keep abreast of his needs, concerns, problems, progress, etc. Participants are expected to pray daily for the missionary and his family. Participants sign a one year “adoption agreement” which states the commitment they are making. We believe that we have a responsibility to minister to those who minister—encouraging them to continue on in their service for the Lord. This, we believe, is a good way to do that. Pray for us as we “hold the ropes” for those who have committed themselves to the task of fulfilling the Great Commission.
